Never Get Lost with T-Mobile’s Garminfone

T-Mobile today announced the upcoming, exclusive launch of Garminfone, available later this spring.  Garminfone is the first Android-powered smartphone with Garmin’s premium navigation software.  According to George Harrison, T-Mobile’s vice president of marketing, “The Garminfone brings together two increasingly popular devices in one state-of-the-art package, delivering a rich, unique experience that no other smartphone or standalone navigation device can offer.”  The anticipated device highlights the growing integration of portable navigation makers and handset manufacturers.

Busy people are increasingly seeking for a single device that allows them to balance their personal and professional lives.  Separate devices would only contribute to unnecessary inconveniences in their hectic schedules.  Alas, a device that delivers beyond what other traditional smartphones and navigation systems alone can offer!  Garminfone is given a competitive edge with its pre-loaded maps and directions that do not require cellular signal.  It also provides pre-installed travel applications, real-time traffic, and weather and localized information.

This slick, touchscreen handset device, offers a 3G internet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a car mount for easy automobile use. The phone also features a large 3.5-inch touch screen display, and 3.0-megapixel auto-focus camera with geo-tagging capabilities.  With the incorporation of Garmin’s navigation experience, “the multiple positioning technologies and on-board maps provide navigation from the middle of town to the middle of nowhere – and back.”  Click here to read more about its specifications.

Until the release of the Garminfone, we must bear with the hassle to access the Internet, make phone calls, and helplessly locate our parked car in separate devices.  T-Mobile’s release of this new technology will provide an efficient quick fix to these inconveniences!
