Fathom over Verizon’s new LG Handset

By: Fast Lane Wireless

Verizon Wireless and LG officially launched the LG Fathom, a touchscreen smartphone that features Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.  The phone includes a stylus, but it is not necessary because of its 3.2-inch 800 x 480 pixel display screen.

The Fathom shares similar physical components as the LG Ally—a 4-row QWERT keyboard that has a dedicated row of keys for numbers, and d-pad controller.  The device accommodates a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and is able store up to 16GB of additional space.

The LG Fathom will be in stores on June 3, 2010 for $149.99 with a 2 year contact, after a $100 mail-in rebate.
